Globacom has called on Nigerians to
always patronise homemade goods and services to be able to cope with the
subsisting recession in the country, adding that buying goods produced
locally and exporting same will create the much-needed jobs in the
country.
Globacom’s National Sales Coordinator in
the NorthCentral, Kazeem Kaka, stated this while speaking at the
recently concluded international trade fair, organised by the Abuja
Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in which the company participated.
He pointed out that patronising homemade
goods could not have come at a better time as it would lead to enhanced
revenue for the government as well as regulate the escalating value of
the dollar compared to the naira.
In a statement by an official in the
Marketing Communications Department of the company, Modupe Olubanjo,
Kaka described Globacom as a proudly-Nigerian company which is
fully-owned by Nigerians and is committed to the economic empowerment of
Nigerians, especially the youth.
